    POSITION SUMMARY 

    The primary purpose of the Bindery Manager is to provide leadership to the Bindery staff, while ensuring all jobs are completed efficiently and accurately and maintaining a safe work environment.

    Essential Functions: 

    • Oversee and provide leadership to the Bindery Staff
    • Supervises the manufacturing and packaging of printed materials
    • Participate in job planning/engineering for plant efficiency.
    • Inspects quality and approves finished product prior to shipping
    • Monitor Labor
    • Monitor production capabilities of equipment for efficient and quality oriented production
    • Makes safety, quality, equipment, and scheduling decisions when necessary; assigns work and directs the activities of employees within areas of responsibilities
    • Work with staff to coordinate an efficient flow of all jobs through manufacturing
    • Counsels and disciplines employees as needed
    • Promptly informs all of significant activity within areas of responsibility
    • Ensures all company policies and standard operating procedures are consistently followed
    • Establish and maintain a safe, professional, respectful work environment for employees
    • Document all significant employee issues at or near the time of occurrence
    • Investigate and resolve production and personnel problems in areas of responsibility
    • Follow safety guidelines as outlined in the Employee Handbook

    POSITION QUALIFICATIONS 

    Competencies: 

    • Provide the Bindery staff with effective leadership
    • Ability to communicate effectively
    • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines efficiently 
    • Service minded and self-motivated to succeed.

    SKILLS & ABILITIES 

    Education: Minimum High school diploma or equivalent 
     

    Experience: 10 years previous bindery experience, 5 years minimum supervisory experience
     

    Computer Skills: Basis computer skills, basic knowledge of MSO Suite
