Bindery Operator

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and adjust bindery equipment including folders, cutters, collators, stitchers, drills, and adhesive binding machines.
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to ensure quality and production goals are met.
• Read and interpret job specifications to properly configure equipment and maintain workflow.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine machine adjustments and maintenance.
• Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Previous bindery, printing, or related manufacturing experience required.
• Experience operating and adjusting bindery equipment.
• Ability to read job orders and machine operating instructions.
• Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to use hand tools and perform machine adjustments.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds frequently.
