The Electrical Products (EP) Business Unit offers a full range of low-voltage power distribution and control products that deliver safe, reliable, and efficient electrical solutions across residential, commercial, and industrial markets. We are looking for a Biological/Chemical Operations Supervisor to join our team. These positions will be based at our Roebuck, SC location. The Biological/Chemical Operations Supervisor is responsible for leading the daily operation of the Special Process Department, including Electroplating, Waste Treatment, and Powder Coating. The Supervisor is accountable for employee safety, people development, production scheduling, product quality, environmental compliance, and inventory management. This position provides both hands-on operational leadership and direct supervision of department personnel. You'll make an impact by: Safety & Environmental Leadership - Lead a team of 20 technicians in department safety and environmental compliance initiatives by driving a zero-incident culture, managing incident investigations and corrective actions, maintaining safety and operating procedures, and ensuring compliance with hazardous waste and wastewater treatment requirements. People Leadership & Development - Lead and develop department personnel through coaching, training, performance management, and workforce planning while fostering employee engagement, accountability, and operational excellence. Scheduling & Workforce Planning - Manage workforce scheduling and staffing through Dayforce, including vacation and overtime administration, to ensure adequate operational coverage and support production requirements across Special Process operations Dayforce. Quality Leadership - Lead quality and process compliance by assisting in establishing and monitoring KPIs, maintaining process controls, training systems, and controlled documentation-including Operating Instructions (OIS), Job Safety Analyses (JSA), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and department work instructions Inventory & Material Management - Manage inventory planning and procurement of chemicals and consumables through SAP and MyMall (OneSRM), ensuring material availability to support uninterrupted department operations. Maintenance & Calibration Management - Coordinate preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, and calibration activities in partnership with Maintenance and Engineering to ensure equipment reliability, regulatory compliance, and operational continuity. You'll win us over by having the following qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field.5+ years' experience in surface finishings operations and industrial wastewater treatment (metals-bearing waste streams preferred). 1+ year of experience with leading teams and collaborate across Production, Maintenance, and EHS to meet production schedules while planning and executing preventive maintenance (PM) activities. Experience working with SAP and LIMS Working knowledge of OSHA requirements and environmental compliance obligations, including EPA regulations and South Carolina Department of Environmental Services (SCDES) requirements, as applicable to plating and wastewater operations. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, including understanding safety procedures, work instructions, and compliance documentation. Experience with MS Office (Excel) including data analysis/trending, inventory transactions, and documentation/control records. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications: 10+ years' experience leading electroplating operations and industrial wastewater treatment in a regulated manufacturing environment. Experience with the Alstan plating process (or similar aluminum finishing/plating processes).
