Biologist (ARA) - II (Associate)

JSG is seeking a Biologist (ARA) - II (Associate). For a client in West Point PA.  This pivotal role offers the opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking studies in infectious disease, immunology, and neuroscience by supporting in vivo pharmacology projects in a highly collaborative environment.

Pay $37.23/hour

What You'll Do:

• Execute a broad range of in vivo techniques, including rodent handling, dosing (oral gavage, intranasal, intratracheal, intravaginal, IP, IM, IV, s.c.), and blood sampling.
• Perform tissue collection procedures such as bronchoalveolar lavage, fecal and vaginal sample collection, as well as necropsies for histology.
• Support in vitro and ex vivo laboratory activities, including aseptic techniques, formulations, bacterial cultures, and sample processing.
• Coordinate and support complex animal studies, ensuring proper scheduling and logistic support.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of experimental protocols, results, and observations, complying with all safety and training regulations.
• Demonstrate initiative, scientific curiosity, and an ability to Master new in vivo techniques rapidly.

Required Skills:

• Associate degree in a relevant field; Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with animals in a laboratory setting.
• Proficiency with rodent handling, dosing, and blood collection techniques.
• Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with more advanced in vivo techniques.
• Knowledge of disease models related to infectious diseases, immunology, or neuroscience.
• Prior experience with necropsy and histological sample preparation.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in an in vivo research environment.
