JSG is recruiting a Biologist (ARA) - II (Associate) for a client located in South San Francisco CA. In this vital role, you will contribute to cutting-edge in-vivo studies, supporting the development of innovative therapies in areas such as oncology, cardiovascular, and metabolic diseases.

Pay $39.46/hour

What You Will Do:
  • Execute and support complex in-vivo experiments, including dosing, blood sampling, tissue collection, and animal handling.
  • Collaborate with research teams to design and implement studies with minimal supervision.
  • Assist with perioperative care, animal husbandry, and weekend facility oversight.
  • Analyze data, prepare reports, and present findings to cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain high standards of animal welfare and research compliance.
Required Skills:
  • Hands-on experience working with small laboratory animals, particularly in dosing, bleeding, and tissue handling.
  • Proficiency in in-vivo pharmacokinetics, oncology, cardio-metabolic disease models, or biologics research.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, flexible environment, including occasional weekend coverage.
Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience in experimental design, data analysis, and collaboration across disciplines.
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment and techniques related to in-vivo studies.
  • Prior experience with perioperative animal care and emergency response procedures.
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Associate degree with 3+ years of relevant experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 2 or more years, or Master’s degree with at least 1 year of in-vivo experience in biological sciences.
  • Additional industry experience is a plus.
Other Requirements:
  • Flexibility to cover weekend shifts as needed.
  • Commitment to maintaining ethical animal care and handling standards.
  • No PhD required.
  • Standard shift: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. PST, with occasional weekends.
