These experienced professionals provide administrative expertise, facilities management, natural and cultural resource planning, and a broad array of other professional skills that support the National Park Service through the Experienced Services Program (ESP). Positions listed here do not guarantee employment for any definite period. Enrollment in the Experienced Worker Programs administered by NEW Solutions is temporary. The enrollment relationship between NEW Solutions and the Enrollee is an ?at-will? relationship. This means that an Enrollee is free to terminate enrollment at any time during the enrollment period, and NEW Solutions and the Agency have the right to terminate the relationship with the Enrollee. Qualifications: Minimum of 20 year(s) of experience in fisheries biology OR MA/MS Degree in Fisheries biology with minimum additional experience of 20 year(s) in Fisheries Management
Duties: Enrollee will serve as a biologist, supporting Olympic National Park, with expertise in natural resources management and specifically, fisheries biology. Provides biological life history and ecological data on impacted resources, especially local fish species, and related ecosystems. Works as part of a team to assess injuries to biological resources from the PetroCard tanker spill and assist the team in determining natural resource damages from the incident. Also serves as a subject matter expert on Olympic National Park, including its boundary and rules and regulations.
