Job Summary
Provide technical knowledge and the ability to test, repair and maintain medical devices. Equipment includes electronic test equipment and various types of medical equipment. Testing will be done in our facility and will involve staff interaction.
Responsibilities
- Adheres to and supports the mission, purpose, philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources.
- Adheres to the Tenet HIPAA Compliance Plan and the Privacy Standards Confidentiality Agreement.
- Demonstrates support for the Tenet Corporate Compliance Program by being knowledgeable of compliance responsibilities as expressed in the Code of Conduct; adhering to federal and state laws, rules, regulations, and corporate policies and procedures policies that affect his/her specific job functions/responsibilities; and reporting compliance issues/concerns in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Maintaining biomedical equipment (establishing, adjusting, calibrating, testing)
- Conducting tests; ensuring compliance to codes; following manufacturer's instructions; trouble-shooting and repairing; calling for special service; maintaining equipment inventories; completing test records; equipment sterilization
- Adjusting; calibrating; testing and documenting equipment performance
- Writing, reviewing and executing test procedures; documenting test results (records)
- Maintains biomedical equipment supplies inventory; anticipating needs; managing orders
- Maintains client/patient/company confidentiality; HIPAA compliance
- Completing employee training requirements . Maintain a safe and organized production/test lab . Assist with other functions as requested
Qualifications
Education: Associate of Applied Science Degree (Electronic Engineering Technology or Biomedical Engineering Technology or equivalent)
REQUIRED Experience: One year of experience working in a biomedical tech capacity
Certification: Valid Drivers License
