We are seeking a motivated intern to work on developing and optimizing compound imaging techniques for a 3D breast ultrasound system.
- Analyze existing datasets to identify limitations like seam artifacts and shadowing.
- Implement multi-angle compounding methods, including averaging and blending strategies.
- Develop solutions to reduce seam artifacts and shadow effects, enhancing image continuity and quality.
- Evaluate image improvements using relevant metrics and assess real-time implementation feasibility.
- Document findings, provide visual results, and recommend enhancements.
Ideal candidates: MS or PhD in Biomedical/Electrical Engineering, with Python and image processing experience, and a strong interest in medical imaging.
Pay range: $1,100 - $1,400/week.
