Submit your application for the opportunity below: Position Summary The Biomedical Research Data Entry Assistant is responsible for the following: entering, updating, and maintaining patient and healthcare-related information in electronic systems, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory standards; contacting patients for study recruitment. Job Duties Essential Functions · Collect, input, and update patient demographics, medical histories, diagnoses, and treatment details into research databases. · Data management, including data storage and organization for clinical research projects. · Cross-check data for consistency, flag discrepancies to ensure records are complete before research analysis. · Work within EHR and clinical data management platforms to log visit data and study documentation. · Contact patients about study recruitment and follow-up, operating under the requirements of the affiliated Institutional Review Board (IRB). · Complete timely documentation as required by departmental and enterprise standards. · Complete all mandatory training which may include, but is not limited to safety, environmental, corporate compliance, HIPAA, bioterrorism, and program specific training, such as research ethics and GCP training. · Participate in conflict identification and resolution, working cooperatively with other members of the team, as well as other Texas Back Institute associates. · Assist in maintenance of department space and equipment. · Attend department meetings and educational events; contributing to discussion as integral member of the team. Education/Skills required · BS or be currently enrolled in a BS program, preferably in a medical science related field preferred · Previous experience with EMR system is preferred · Computer Knowledge and Skills: word processing, databases, and s preadsheets . · Strong organizational skills and attention to detail · Displays a positive attitude and optimism about the organization and work to be done Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, typing/keyboard, reading, viewing computer screen, walking and occasionally lifting and carrying up to 20lbs. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, hear and talk.
