Summary:

Our SMEs working in the NMP were once general BMETs and managers and thus understand how and whom the NMP supports. They are highly experience and specialized, with comprehensive knowledge of policies, practices and procedures, which allows them to support the NMP in the capacity of Enterprise Level technical support and strategic planning services SMEs.

Responsibilities:

Essential Job Functions:

  • Develop, review, integrate, update, and distribute publications & policies to Commands
  • Act as AMEDD Maintenance SME for Special Initiatives and Programs Serves as ICT Members for medical maintenance automation & architecture guidance
  • Utilize data warehouse and provide relevant strategic analysis
  • Manage the medical items on the Master Maintenance Data File (MMDF) Review ILS processes to ensure consistent supportability strategies Acts as field conduit for the AMEDD Center & School POI’s for MOS 68A Training Coordinate Maintenance updates on USAMMA Website Support FORSCOM maintenance assistance visits (MAIT) and selected inspection teams
  • Lead AMEDD Development/ Execution of maintenance-centric issues and initiatives
  • Support Program Management of TMDE
Qualifications:

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Excellent communications skills, both verbally and in writing Ability to work effectively in a team environment Data entry and computer software experience Professional experience in dealing with clients and/or customer service
  • Ability to speak, read, and understand English Ability to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances in compliance with government regulations and requirements
  • Familiar with the biomedical maintenance field and its concepts, practices, and procedures Familiar with U.S. Army acronyms

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in area of specialty and/or the equivalent combination of training, experience, and education. This can include A.A.S. in Medical Equipment Technology and/or graduate of DoD Medical Equipment Repairers Course, an advanced degree in area of specialty, more than eight years of directly related experience, more than four years supervisory experience in the biomedical field, technical certifications relating to position requirements, and proven technical writing skills.
  • Minimum of ten years directly related experience in the biomedical field
  • Minimum of two years supervisory experience in the biomedical field
  • Experience performing biomedical equipment maintenance and repair on Army Medical Equipment Experience performing maintenance cycles on Medical Equipment Sets that have returned from deployments and/or have been in long-term storage facilities
  • Experience performing technical inspections of new, used or reconditioned Army medical equipment
  • Experience with medical equipment overhaul
  • Ability to obtain and maintain CACard Willingness and ability to frequently travel

 

Pay and Benefits

The annual salary range for this position is $85,000 to $105,000.
