Andretti Indoor Karting & Games is seeking an Event Sales Manager for Birthday Party Sales for our Schaumburg, IL location! Birthday Sales Manager Reports to: General Manager/Senior Sales Manager POSITION OVERVIEW The Sales Manager plays a key role in leading and supporting the Sales Team in executing targeted programs designed to drive pre-sold group business. This position is responsible for selling and managing group events and/or birthdays, while ensuring every interaction reflects the quality and ethical standards of AIKG and upholds the integrity of the Andretti brand. This is a salaried management role with the potential to earn substantial commissions based on performance. AIKG locations feature high-speed, high-tech indoor Karting on multilevel tracks, multi-player immersive Virtual Reality Simulators, Arcade fun, and amazing restaurants & event spaces featuring scratch cocktails and culinary creations crafted in our kitchens. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Partner with clients on all aspects of group events, including site inspections, qualifying leads, menu selection, and contracts
- Site tours and in-person meetings with clients
- Collaborate with unit operations teams to ensure flawless event execution
- Represent AIKG at hospitality and trade events to promote the brand and generate leads
- Process POS purchases accurately and efficiently
- Deliver an exceptional guest/event experience, including proactive recovery when needed
- Uphold the highest standards of product quality and service excellence
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with clients and guests
- Identify new business opportunities through research, prospecting, and market analysis
- Establish meaningful connections and cultivate relationships with potential clients
- Consistently meet or exceed quarterly individual sales goals
- Generate leads and execute timely, effective follow-up

QUALIFICATIONS Required: - Experience with inbound Sales
- Ability to quickly learn systems, processes, and procedures
- Eligible to work in the U.S.
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Energetic and guest-focused with a commitment to operational excellence
Preferred: - Minimum of two years of sales experience within the hospitality or family entertainment industry
- Passion for and familiarity with virtual reality, arcade games, and motorsports
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and effectively manage team members at all levels
Benefits: - Base salary from $38,000 - $42,000
- Earn 2% commission on every sale you close, plus a quarterly bonus equal to 1% of revenue exceeding your budget targets

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - Walk or stand for extended periods of time
- The ability to communicate quickly and accurately
- Must be able to lift up to 15lbs on a regular basis
- Perform functions which require organization, bending, reaching, turning, lifting, climbing and occasional stocking up to 50lbs
- The work environment may include bright, dim or flashing lights and loud sounds
- Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment
- Be able to understand, follow and maintain safety standards at all times
