Recognition of changes in patients' conditions and initiation of appropriate action. Prompt assessment of patient upon return from PACU and/or diagnostic procedure and documentation of findings. Providing safe nursing care and a safe environment for patients/families. Making patient rounds. Establishing patient's plan of care based on medical/nursing diagnosis and admission profile. Initiates nursing orders for the comfort and well-being of the patient. (Ex: oral care, turning, positioning, etc.) Transcribes and implements physician orders and documents all patient-related information. Administers medication accurately and safely within the guidelines. Administers IV fluids accurately and safely within nursing guidelines.
