Type: Full-Time (75 Hours Bi-weekly) Hours: 7:00AM - 3:30PM Shift: Days Pay: $52.87 - $69.91 / Hour depending upon years of experience

Job Summary:

The Technologist will process the day-to-day activities and workflow on a given shift within the lab. This will include ensuring SOPs, practices, policies, procedures, guidelines and regulations are followed.

Responsibilities:

• Triaging and performing product testing • Ensuring optimal product inventory levels • Overseeing quality control on automated testing instruments • Identifying and implementing process improvements

Requirements:

• Valid NYS License for Clinical Laboratory Technologist • Knowledgeable in both NYSDOH and Joint Commission Regulatory requirements for Blood Bank • Minimum of 5 years experience in Transfusion Medicine • Knowledge of a computerized laboratory information system • Ability to interpret lab results and prepare slides for study • Effective communication skills • Bachelors Degree required
