Position Summary
Recruits blood donors via telephone and mail. Develop annual collection goals with recruitment colleagues and collections manager and administrative manager. Organizes and implements new strategies for working with identified sponsor groups to ensure maximum participation.
Key Responsibilities- Recruiting blood donors via telephone and mail. Coordinating recruitment and donor scheduling with other recruitment staff, and administrative staff and collection staff. Maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Developing annual collection goals with recruitment colleagues, operations supervisor and administrative manager. Compiling and maintaining accurate statistical reports for tracking productivity.
- Organizing and implementing strategies for working with identified sponsor groups, employees and families to ensure maximum participation in both hospital based and bloodmobile donor programs.
- Educating potential donors and donor groups about blood donation through presentations and educational materials. Functioning as a resource person for patients, families, staff and donors regarding blood needs and usage.
- Participating in the development of special promotions and materials to enhance donor recruitment and retention.
- Orienting and training new recruitment and administrative staff as needed.
- Participating in the development of the annual promotional budget. Maintaining supplies of promotional materials.
- Responsible for specific programs as assigned, contributing to blood donor recruitment program through building lasting and meaningful relationships with donors, prospective donors and donor groups.
- May be required to attend offsite meetings and events by utilizing personal, ride share, or public transportation.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:- High school Diploma/GED, and at least two years of work experience
- Associates degree preferred
Experience:- At least two years of work experience
Licensure/Certifications: - Valid Massachusetts driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
Shift/hours:- Full-time 40 hours per week
