Blood Gas Technologist, PD

Responsibilities:

The primary purpose of the Blood Gas Technologist position is to analyze expired gas and arterial venous or capillary blood sample by operating analyzers and other lab instruments. This position is responsible for routine service and maintenance of Blood Gas Laboratory instruments and operating them according to established policy and procedures and based on CAP standards.

Qualifications:

Associate Degree in Medical Sciences, or a second-year student currently enrolled in a Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) accredited Respiratory Therapy Program required. Graduate or Certified RCP or Medical Laboratory Technician preferred. Knowledge of computer operation and must possess good communications skills.
