About the Clinician‘s WorkdayThe clinician will provide remote transfusion medicine coverage with call responsibilities for clinic and call situations. Blood bank technologists and residents will contact the clinician with questions and send transfusion medicine reports for sign-out. The position requires expertise in complex transfusion scenarios including trauma cases with massive transfusion protocols, maternal-fetal medicine, and sickle cell management. Board certification in Transfusion Medicine is required due to the scope of services provided.
