    Description

    Blue Yonder (JDA) Solution Architect
    Logistics & Supply Chain Solutions
    Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Blue Yonder (JDA) Solution Architect to lead end-to-end solution design
and implementation for a 6+ month consulting engagement. The ideal candidate will drive solution
architecture and design for Blue Yonder (BY) implementations and enhancements, translating complex
business requirements into scalable, best-practice logistics solutions. This role requires deep Blue
Yonder expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and preferably prior experience with semiconductor
    manufacturing environments.
    Key Responsibilities
    • Lead Solution Architecture: Own end-to-end solution blueprint covering process design,
configuration, integrations, reporting, and data migration; present solution options with
tradeoffs and strategic recommendations to stakeholders.
    • Requirements & Design: Conduct discovery workshops, gather business requirements, and
translate into comprehensive functional and technical specifications aligned with best practices.
    • Integration Architecture: Design and guide integration strategy with upstream/downstream
systems including ERP (SAP/Oracle), EDI, carrier systems, OMS, WCS, and supply chain visibility
    platforms.
    • BY Configuration & Best Practices: Guide teams on Blue Yonder configuration across logistics
processes—inbound/outbound, warehouse operations, order planning, execution, and freight
    settlement.
    • Non-Functional Requirements: Define performance, scalability, security, monitoring, and
resilience requirements; ensure solution meets enterprise standards.
    • Testing & Quality: Develop SIT/UAT strategy, lead defect triage, and ensure solution quality
through client sign-offs and production readiness.
    • Stakeholder Management: Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to manage
scope, risks, dependencies, and release readiness; provide executive-level communication.
    • Team Leadership & Knowledge Transfer: Mentor and guide implementation team members;
lead knowledge transition sessions and establish long-term solution governance.
    Required Qualifications
    • Minimum 3–5 end-to-end Blue Yonder (JDA) implementation projects as Solution Architect or
    Senior Functional Consultant.
    • Deep expertise in Blue Yonder ESP (Enterprise Service Platform) and Order Promising (OP)
configuration, process design, and logistics best practices.
    • Strong experience designing and architecting integrations with ERP systems (SAP or Oracle), EDI,
OMS, WCS, and carrier management platforms.
    • Proven ability to conduct discovery workshops, perform system analysis, and write
    comprehensive functional and technical specifications.
    • Exceptional problem-solving, strategic thinking, and analytical skills; ability to troubleshoot
complex logistics and supply chain challenges.
    • Strong communication and stakeholder management; comfortable presenting to executive
    leadership and managing scope/risk/dependencies.
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or equivalent; or minimum 6
years of related Blue Yonder/JDA consulting experience.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Prior implementation experience with semiconductor manufacturing or product-based
    customers (highly preferred).
    • Hands-on experience with Blue Yonder inbound, outbound, warehouse operations, Order
Promising, and warehouse execution system (WES) modules.
    • Exposure to freight settlement, charge calculation, and carrier management functionality.
    • Knowledge of supply chain control towers and advanced supply chain visibility platforms.
    • Experience mentoring implementation teams and driving knowledge transition in complex,
    multi-phase programs.
    Engagement Details
    • Duration: 6 months+ (potential for extension based on project phasing).
    • Location: 50–75% travel required across Dallas, Boston, and Bay Area client locations.
    • Role: Solution Architect leading architecture, design, and implementation governance.
    • Team: Will partner with implementation teams, functional consultants, technical teams, and
    business stakeholders.
