BMS/EPMS Engineer - Data Center Systems
Location: Remote or On-Site (In-Office Preferred) | Salary: $100,000 - $150,000 | Employment Type: Direct Hire / Full-Time | Experience: 5+ Years Required

Job Summary
We are seeking a BMS/EPMS Engineer specializing in BMS/EPMS designs for data center systems. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience and is willing to complete and/or oversee all efforts for the clients, with an understanding of the client's big-picture strategies, their goals, and the ability to foresee challenges. The ideal candidate possesses experience in machine control, BMS, EPMS, DCIM, and SCADA systems design, implementation, and operations.

Required Qualifications

Revit (Required): Proficiency in Revit for creation of plans, drawings, control panel layouts, and network architecture diagrams. This is a non-negotiable requirement.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
BMS/EPMS/SCADA Systems Experience: Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in machine control, BMS, EPMS, DCIM, and/or SCADA systems design, implementation, and operations in data center environments.
Data Center Cooling Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of cooling technologies including IT equipment, emergency generators, air-cooled/water-cooled chillers, cooling distribution units, cooling towers, adiabatic coolers, CRAH/CRAC units, liquid cooling systems, and containment solutions.
Strong understanding of BMS/EPMS/DCIM/SCADA as applied to HVAC and data center systems.
Proficiency interpreting engineering drawings, equipment specifications, and facility layouts.
Ability to manage multiple BMS/EPMS tasks with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Working knowledge of industry standards relevant to data center design.


Preferred Qualifications

Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Experience supporting design optimization for high-density or mission-critical data center environments.


Key Responsibilities

Equipment selection and writing supporting reports.
Attending project meetings and interfacing with clients and vendors.
Creation of plans and drawings.
Preparing sequence of operations and controls narratives.
Drafting controls process and instrumentation diagrams.
Drafting control panel layouts.
Drafting controls network architectures implementing specific customer standards.
Drafting controls bench testing scripts.
Reviewing submitted shop drawings per provided specifications.
Drafting specifications for control systems.
