Role Overview:

The Program Coordinator oversees and directs all aspects of credential and placard processing within the Credential Operations Team. The coordinator ensures that staff comply with all agency policies, procedures, system requirements, and production standards. This role guides team members in accurately and efficiently processing credential, placard, NO TUID, and Document Review transactions each day, supporting timely and secure customer service across the agency. The coordinator leads nine direct reports, including specialized staff who manage credential corrections, reporting accuracy, returned credential processing, and system gate release functions.

This role supports agency operations by ensuring all credential processing procedures remain current, providing regular training and performance feedback, monitoring production queues, auditing work for accuracy, coordinating cross training with the Title Team, and maintaining comprehensive documentation for all credential related tasks. The coordinator approves timesheets, manages attendance, conducts one on one and team meetings, administers discipline, and ensures compliance with agency standards.

This role is in the central BMV Offices at the Indiana Government Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. Work hours are Monday - Friday, 8:15 am - 4:45 pm.

Salary:

The salary for this position traditionally starts at $42,900.00 but may be commensurate with education and work experience. Use our Compensation Calculator to view the total compensation package.

A Day in the Life:

The essential functions of this role are:

  • Follow agency policies and operating procedures daily to ensure efficient daily production.
  • Answers technical questions and traces requested information.
  • Sorts and distributes or responds to and handles records, files, and other documents.
  • Process mail correspondence daily which includes typing/printing letters and inserting comments.
  • Oversee and track branch errors processes.
  • Notify and correspond with Applicants for additional information.
  • Represents the agency in a positive and professional manner.

Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:

This role may be utilized in a supervisory capacity based on agency needs.
