What we do:

We provide high quality, critical early intervention programs, based on the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA). Services are designed to nurture the growth and development of young children with social, behavior, and/or language challenges. Little Leaves provides a range of in-home, at-school, and full day center-based ABA services for children with developmental delays, especially Autism Spectrum Disorders, in Virginia, the DC metro area, the Baltimore metro area, and the South Florida area.

Overview of the Supervising Behavior Analyst (SBA) Position

The Supervising Behavior Analyst (SBA) is the qualified healthcare professional (QHP) that provides direct case management for clients. Case management includes assessment, treatment programming, with protocol modification, documentation, supervision and administrative oversight of technicians and specialist(s) for your caseload.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Clinical & Service Provision Responsibilities (25 hrs, approximately 60%) • Serves as the case manager and oversee the day-to-day delivery of evidence-based ABA therapy services to young children (1 - 6 years) diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or related disabilities. • Provides direct assessment, evaluation (e.g., VB-MAPP, functional behavior assessment), develops and monitors programming for their caseload. • Ensures that required documentation (i.e., reports, treatment notes) are completed within 10 business days of assessment and submitted to the supervisor for review 5 business days prior to date due to Little Leaves billing department for insurance re-authorization submission. • The SBA provides formal supervision to behavior technicians and/ or direct services to clients (up to 10 direct 1:1 client hours/ week) on a predetermined schedule and using recommended tools. • The SBA identifies appropriate caregiver training goals, develops materials, and completes caregiver training sessions using evidence-based curriculum through behavioral skills training.

• Administrative and Professional Development (15 hours, approximately 40%) • Maintain accurate records of assessment and treatment activities for billing and client clinical medical records, including scheduling, converting appointments and completion of treatment records within 24 hours of rendering services. • Remain compliant with responsibilities as outlined by the BACB and as required by licensure and funding sources, including state and federal regulatory entities. • Continue to develop clinical and nonbehavioral skills through engagement with didactic trainings, CE events, and meetings as assigned by supervisor(s). • Maintain licensure and certification or makes adequate progress towards completion of the requirements for licensure or certification. • Ensure you are familiar with and compliant with your ethical and professional guidelines and codes associated with certification and/ or licensure (e.g., www.bacb.com). • Maintain ongoing communication with direct supervisor and other team staff. • Proactively raise ideas and concerns and discuss problems or concerns with supervisor or other Little Leaves team members as appropriate. • Complete additional duties as assigned by the center director, including being part of the site leadership team, pitching in wherever necessary administratively to ensure the best team member, client experience, and execution of operational standards.

Qualifications

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master's degree in special education, behavior analysis, or related field required. • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA); Licensure eligible. • Minimum of 1 - 2 years working directly with individuals diagnosed with ASD; case management experience preferred. • Demonstrated commitment to behavior analysis, ABA principles, and procedures; commitment to continuing to develop expertise and to ongoing professional and leadership skill development.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in establishing strong relationships with staff, caregivers, other stakeholders, and the leadership team. • Working knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic procedures for serving individuals with ASD. • Ability to effectively utilize data and information systems to problem solve and make data-based decisions.
