The BCBA will provide behavioral consultation and services across the district, develop and implement Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), and utilize evidence-based strategies to support students with moderate to significant behavioral needs.Education and ExperienceA minimum of a Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or a related field and hold an active status as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), or ability to obtain.Maintain all valid licenses, certifications, approvals, and registrations required to practice as a BCBA in the State of Michigan.ResponsibilitiesBehavior Intervention & Support: Develop and implement comprehensive behavior support strategies, interventions, and programs tailored to individual student needs, small groups, or a district-wide continuum.Collaboration & Consultation: Provide expert guidance to special education teams, parents, students, and community agencies on behavioral concerns and specialized educational needs.Direct Student Services: Deliver specialized services for students with moderate to severe behavioral challenges, develop individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), and conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs).Professional Development: Design and facilitate professional development on evidence-based practices for behavior data collection, functional analysis, and other relevant topics.Team Participation: Actively contribute to special education teams (e.g., IEP, REED, MET) to promote a collaborative, data-driven approach supporting students in their least restrictive environment.MTSS & PBIS Support: Support implementation of MTSS and PBIS practices within special education, promoting positive behavioral and academic outcomes.Data-Driven Decision-Making: Guide special education problem-solving through data-based decision-making and use student outcome data to inform and refine behavior intervention plans.Family & Community Engagement: Liaise with community agencies specializing in behavioral services for students with disabilities and provide support and resources to parents on positive behavior strategies.Compliance & Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of services, ensure compliance with special education regulations, and contribute to progress monitoring and reporting.Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to advance the goals of the district and support student success.Employment InformationPosition: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)Start Date: 2026â2027 School YearCompensation: Per applicable district salary schedule and/or collective bargaining agreement.Application: Interested individuals should submit a resume, professional licenses/certifications, transcripts, and three letters of recommendation.Application Method: Applications should be submitted through the district's employment application system / Oakland Human Resource Consortium (OHRC).Questions / Human ResourcesJamie Thiel, Director of Human Resources and Student Information ServicesMadison District Public Schools26550 John R.
