  • Collaborate closely with mental health clinicians, psychiatrists, educators, child welfare professionals, and other members of the care team.
  • Provide behavioral consultation to caregivers and aftercare providers as youth transition from congregate care into other placement settings.
  • Support placement transitions by promoting continuity of successful behavioral interventions and strategies.
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and complete clinical and behavioral documentation.
  • Ensure behavioral interventions comply with applicable agency policies, regulatory requirements, professional and ethical standards, and trauma-informed care principles.
  • Support program evaluation and quality improvement initiatives related to behavioral programming.
  • Perform other related behavioral health consultation duties as appropriate.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience working directly with children and/or adolescents in one or more of the following environments: residential treatment, child welfare, congregate care, or intensive behavioral health programs.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and crisis prevention strategies.
  • Experience training and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong clinical documentation, communication, consultation, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Background
Ideal candidates will have extensive experience supporting children and adolescents with complex behavioral needs and working collaboratively with residential staff, clinicians, educators, psychiatrists, caregivers, and child welfare professionals.

Candidates with significant experience developing FBAs and BIPs, providing direct services in residential or child welfare environments, and training multidisciplinary teams are strongly encouraged to apply, as these areas are specifically emphasized in the solicitation's technical evaluation criteria.

Important: The selected consultant will be expected to work no more than 25 hours per week and should be available to provide services and attend meetings during regular business hours.
