JOB SUMMARY:
The primary function of the Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) is to plan, develop, and monitor a variety of behavioral support service delivery options to meet the needs of students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and/or other behavioral and social/communication challenges.
SUPERVISION:
Receives general supervision from the Director of Special Education or designee. Exercises supervision over Registered Behavior Technicians and other assigned staff.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION/TRAINING: (These are the minimum experience standards which will be used to admit or reject applicants for examination.)
Two (2) years of fulltime paid experience serving individuals with lifelong disabilities, which includes experience completing comprehensive functional assessments and behavior support plans.
A bachelors degree from an accredited institution in Behavior Analysis, Education or Psychology.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATES/REGISTRATIONS (At time of appointment and during employment):
An appropriate, valid California driver license and auto liability insurance.
Board Certified Behavior Analyst certification (BCBA).

THE EXAMINATION:
Training and Experience Evaluation. WEIGHT: 100%
Only qualified candidates will be invited to participate in the examination process.
Successful candidates who pass all parts of the examination process will be placed on the eligibility list in order of their relative merit.
Candidates will be notified in accordance with the Personnel Commission Rules.
This eligibility list will be active for a period of (1) year.

POST Intermediate Certification: 6% to base pay
POST Advanced Certification: 8% to base pay

Master degree: 9% increase to base pay
