Metropolitan Veterinary Specialists & Emergency Service is a well-established specialty referral and 24-hour emergency practice, serving Kentucky and our surrounding Midwest communities for over thirty years. We offer a highly collaborative team consisting of board-certified veterinarians in Surgery, Internal Medicine, Dermatology, Neurology, Dentistry and Critical Care, in conjunction with our exceptional team of internship-trained emergency veterinarians and a practice limited to eye care.

Our 17,000+ sq. ft. hospital is well equipped with three surgical suites, arthroscopy, CO2 laser, MRI, CT, digital radiology, an endoscopy suite with video endoscopy, full in-house diagnostic laboratory, continuing education/training center and so much more.

MVSES embraces technology using EzyVet for electronic treatment boards and medical records allowing for seamless patient billing and medical record keeping, permitting you to focus on being the surgeon.

Position is full or part-time, offering excellent opportunity for professional fulfillment while maintaining a work/life balance. The ideal candidate is:

• ACVS board-certified or residency-trained
• Licensed or license eligible in the state of Kentucky.
• Proficient in soft tissue, orthopedic, neurologic and oncological surgeries
• Enjoys a team culture that embraces coaching, collaboration and camaraderie facilitating exceptional service for our patients, clients and primary care veterinarians.
• Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills that demonstrate a passion for excellent client and patient care.
• Dedicated to partnering and collaborating with primary care veterinarians.
