Description
We are seeking a Board Certified Therapeutic Medical Physicist to join a Radiation Oncology team supporting a nationally accredited healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for radiation treatment planning, quality assurance, equipment calibration, dosimetry, and radiation safety while ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
Responsibilities
Perform radiation treatment planning and independent plan reviews.
Conduct acceptance testing, commissioning, calibration, and quality assurance of radiation therapy equipment.
Perform weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual QA procedures.
Support IMRT, VMAT, IGRT, SBRT, SRS, SRT, HDR, and 3D conformal treatment planning.
Perform monitor unit (MU) calculations and patient-specific QA.
Review treatment charts and support CT simulation procedures.
Maintain documentation of QA activities, calibrations, and treatment planning records.
Assist with radiation safety, equipment troubleshooting, and implementation of new technologies.
Collaborate with Radiation Oncologists, Dosimetrists, Radiation Therapists, and clinical staff.
Qualifications
Master's Degree or PhD in Medical Physics or a related field.
American Board of Radiology (ABR) Certification in Therapeutic Medical Physics or Medical Physics.
Minimum of 2 years of recent Therapeutic Medical Physics experience.
Current unrestricted professional license (if applicable).
Strong communication and documentation skills.

Schedule
Approximately 600 hours annually (0.3 FTE)
Monday Friday
8:00 AM 4:30 PM
Occasional evenings or weekends for equipment calibration and quality assurance as needed.
