A Canton, OH 44720JOB CLASSIFICATION(S): Building/Heating Inspector Electrical InspectorSALARY: $33.68 per hour JOB DESCRIPTION:The Board of Stark County Commissioners' Building Inspection Department is looking to fill two open vacancies for both their Building/Heating Inspector and Electrical Inspector positions. These vacancies are designated as "casual employment" and are not considered regular full-time or part-time positions. There is no guaranteed minimum number of work hours, shifts, or assignments. The work is performed on an as-needed basis to assist with operational needs. Casual employees are not eligible for employee benefits.Under the supervision of the Chief Building Official, the Building/Heating Inspectors and Electrical Inspectors will perform inspections on residential and non-residential structures for compliance with Section 108 of the Ohio Building Code (OBC), Residential Code of Ohio (RCO) and the National Electrical Code.QUALIFICATIONS: Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent: Board of Building Standards (OBBS); Electrical Certified Inspector (ESI); and Building and Mechanical Building Inspector certifications.Qualified candidates must possess a valid State of Ohio driver's license and must be insurable under the County's auto plan.
