Part-Time Kennel Assistant

VCA Pahle Animal Hospital - West Allis, WI

Do you love animals and enjoy working in a fast-paced veterinary environment? VCA Pahle Animal Hospital is looking for a dependable, compassionate Part-Time Kennel Assistant to join our team!

As a Kennel Assistant, you'll play an important role in providing exceptional care for our hospitalized and boarding patients while helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming hospital environment. You'll also help create a fun, enriching, and safe experience for our Doggy Day Care patients.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing compassionate care to boarding and hospitalized pets
• Supervising and engaging dogs participating in our Doggy Day Care program
• Monitoring dog behavior to ensure safe and positive group play
• Feeding, walking, exercising, and providing enrichment activities for dogs
• Cleaning and disinfecting kennels, play areas, treatment areas, and hospital spaces
• Laundry, dishes, and general housekeeping duties
• Assisting the veterinary team with basic patient care as needed
• Ensuring all pets are comfortable, clean, and well cared for

• Comfortable handling dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and remain active throughout your shift

Availability Requirements:

• Evening availability is required
• Weekend availability is required
• Holiday availability is required
• Flexibility to help cover additional shifts is a plus

Veterinary or animal care experience is preferred but not required-we're happy to train the right person who is enthusiastic, dependable, and eager to learn.
