GENERAL FUNCTION: Supervises and coordinates production phases of vessel within a manufacturing plant and ensures production schedules are met. Performs under the general direction of Superintendent, Plant Manager, or other Division Manager.
TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed and are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities:
Develop tank dry search, launch and delivery schedule.
Ensures safe working conditions in production areas.
Coordinates with Foremen to ensure product compliance with Company standards and specifications.
Monitor the status of all schedules for assigned job.
Coordinate and monitor efforts of production crafts.
Monitor material ordering and material receiving.
Monitors man-hour budget, safety and quality of work.
Functions as contact with owner and owner's representative on the production aspect.
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Knowledge of manufacturing
operations as related to plant products and components and applicable regulatory
requirements and practices. Ability to analyze and interpret blueprints and production
drawings. Ability to plan cost effective work procedures compatible with quality
requirements. Ability to effectively communicate, instruct, build and direct a production
team.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & TRAINING: H.S. diploma or GED, supplemented by
course work in production management, industrial technology or related area or equivalent job training/experience. Experience in plant operations and supervision.
