Body Prep Technician - Manufacturing - Base Salary to 30.00/hour - Gallatin, TN

• AllSearch Recruiting has a client that is a U.S.-based manufacturer producing premium truck bodies for landscaping, hauling, construction, equipment distribution, and agricultural applications. They are seeking a Body Prep Technician for their manufacturing facility in Gallatin, TN.
• This position is responsible for body preparation, masking, surface finishing, and paint preparation on manufactured truck bodies and related components within a production environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform body preparation, sanding, grinding, masking, and surface finishing on manufactured truck bodies and components
• Prepare surfaces for primer and paint application using hand tools, pneumatic tools, sanders, and grinders
• Attach, align, and fit panels, trim, and related components as needed during production and finishing operations
• Mask components and protect finished surfaces prior to paint application
• Inspect surfaces and completed units for finish quality, defects, runs, sags, and unpainted areas
• Apply primers and protective coatings in accordance with manufacturing specifications
• Perform minor metal finishing and repair work as needed during production
• Operate air tools, grinders, sanders, spray equipment, and related manufacturing tools safely and effectively
• Support time-sensitive production schedules within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Follow workplace safety procedures and utilize required PPE throughout production operations
• Maintain clean and organized work areas and equipment

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in automotive bodywork, manufacturing, or a related trade environment such as composites, plastics, construction, collision repair, industrial finishing, or metal fabrication
• Proficiency using air tools, sanders, grinders, spray guns, welders, and related shop equipment
• Experience with body prep, masking, sanding, grinding, surface preparation, or finishing work
  
• Experience in truck body manufacturing, trailer manufacturing, automotive manufacturing, or industrial fabrication environments
• Experience preparing surfaces for industrial or automotive paint applications
• Experience with primers, coatings, or finishing processes

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 20.00 – 30.00/hour range
• 401k plan with 100% match up to 6% of salary (eligible after 1 year)
