Body Shop Foreman – Exeter, NH

We’re looking for a hands-on Body Shop Foreman who knows trucks, knows the work, and isn’t afraid to jump in when the shop gets busy. This isn’t a desk job—you’re the guy/gal making sure heavy-duty collision work gets done right, on time, and built to last.

You’ll be running the day-to-day in the body shop, working side-by-side with techs, helping solve problems, and keeping jobs moving from teardown to paint to final inspection. If you’ve been the “go-to” person in a truck body shop before, you’ll know exactly what this role feels like.

Location: Exeter, NH

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Pay: $35–$38/hr (based on experience)

What you’ll be doing

  • Oversee daily workflow in a busy commercial truck body shop
  • Step in on structural repairs, frame work, fiberglass, and complex collision jobs
  • Make sure all repairs are done right—OEM specs, DOT safety standards, no shortcuts
  • Work with estimators to catch hidden damage before it turns into delays and supplements
  • Train and mentor techs and apprentices—help build a stronger, faster shop
  • Keep jobs moving, organized, and accounted for (labor, materials, productivity)
  • Make sure equipment stays in shape—frame machines, paint booths, welders, etc.
  • Enforce a real safety-first shop culture (PPE, ventilation, clean work practices)
  • Help maintain compliance with OSHA/EPA rules and proper waste handling

What you need to bring

  • 5+ years in auto body / heavy truck collision repair (lead or foreman experience preferred)
  • Strong background in tear-down, reassembly, and heavy truck/trailer repair
  • Comfortable reading damage, diagnosing issues, and solving problems on the fly
  • Knowledge of paint, refinishing, structural repair, and alignment work
  • Ability to read manuals, diagrams, and repair specs without guessing
  • Solid communication skills—you can talk to techs, estimators, and customers when needed
  • Physically able to lift, move, and work with heavy parts and equipment
  • Dependable, steady work ethic—people count on you showing up and getting it done
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Nice to have

  • Technical school or trade certification
  • OEM or manufacturer training
  • Previous shop lead, foreman, or “senior tech” experience stepping into leadership

What’s in it for you

  • Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage
  • Life and Disability insurance options
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off + holidays

If you’ve been looking for a shop where you can actually run work, lead people, and still stay close to the metal—this is it.
