We are looking for an energetic, customer-focused Body Shop Helper who will help us redefine the car-buying experience.

Job Responsibilities The Body Shop Helper is responsible for assisting the technicians in repairing and restoring all assigned vehicles to pre-accident condition.

  • Assist in approaching the repair planning with a sense of urgency and detail to avoid waste and rework later in the process.
  • Assist in de-trims and disassembles vehicles, putting parts on parts carts.
  • Assist in pre-pulls to make repair vs. replace decisions.
  • Assist in identifying and sourcing parts as necessary.
  • Assist in performing quality repairs without passing on defects.
  • Consistently utilize all required safety equipment and follow proper repair procedures.
  • Adhere to all requirements for hazardous waste disposal.
  • Keep personal work area organized and return tools, materials, and equipment to designated areas.

Requirements

  • ASE certification in body repairs.
  • Auto Body Vo-Tech certification or military equivalent experience preferred.
  • Demonstrate commitment to continued learning by ongoing participation in I-CAR.
  • CAR Welding certificate a plus.
  • Periodic lifting and carrying of objects over 50 pounds.
  • Will be required to reach above and below shoulder level.
  • Must be able to push materials, parts carts, and push cars with assistance.
  • Must be able to kneel, bend, squat, and stoop for extended periods of time to complete or inspect repairs.
  • Manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination to operate equipment.
  • May be exposed to repetitive tasks involving hand and arm motion.
  • May be required to inspect vehicles outdoors in inclement weather.
  • May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, high levels of dust, and noise in repair center.
  • Must be able to wear protective equipment including respirator.
  • Must be at least eighteen years of age.
  • Must have a valid Drivers License.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screens (background & drug test).
