Job Overview & Essential Functions

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America's largest Kenworth truck Dealership and Leasing group. As MHC continues to grow, we have an opening for a Body Shop Leadman. The role of the Leadman is to perform all functions of a fully qualified heavy-duty truck Bodyman; assists Bodymen when necessary, with difficulties and recommends needed solutions. Assists in greeting customers, selling labor, writing repair orders, and estimating the cost of repairs within set guidelines.

• Assists Bodymen as necessary with difficulties and make recommendations for need repairs.
• Ensures daily production schedule assigned to Bodymen is met.
• Performs skilled and complicated body work on heavy-duty trucks and related components with minimum supervision.
• Performs trouble shooting on major problems.
• Works with and helps train apprentice Bodymen.
• Maintains a neat and orderly working area.
• Advises the Shop Foreman if additional repair work is necessary.
• Maintains favorable relations with the customers.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years experience in truck body repair.
• Must have good communication skills.
• Must be able to work hand in hand with others in training situations.
• Must have a positive can do attitude.
• CDL preferred.
• Must have necessary tools required to perform position responsibilities.
