Think try and thrive with us in collaborative work environments that spark game-changing concepts.ResponsibilitiesInspect and verify spot welded joints of entire vehicle body as defined by quality standardsInspect and verify stud presence location and torque welded to the vehicle body as defined by quality standardsInspect and verify MIGMAG welds of the entire body as defined by quality standardsInspect and verify sealeradhesive of the entire body as defined by quality standardsInspect and verify laser weldslaser brazing of the entire body as defined by quality standardsResponsible for the control of the ultrasonic device and the test modeConduct special audits without inspection plan specificationConduct ultrasonic inspection using ultrasonic probe according to quality standards for entire vehicle shell. Conduct ultrasonic testing outside of normal test conditions in special casesConduct ultrasonic device testing to ensure proper functionCoordinate with maintenance to ensure the ultrasonic devices proper functionUse the ultrasonic tester to analyze spot-welded joints in reference to the inspection plan Provide expert input to establish and modify testing plans. Act as a consultant while working with other departments to establish ultrasonic test parameters e.g. locations quantity of points and amplitude Document communicate and troubleshoot unsatisfactory ultrasonic tests with the appropriate department decide if a physical inspection with peel andor chisel is necessaryCommunicate any daily information and any other relevant events during change of shiftAssist in the organization of teamwork Participate in Continuous Improvement Program Qualifikationen QualificationsEducationHigh School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 5 years of relevant automotive production experience-or-Associates Degree in a technical trade NDT material sciences welding technology industrial technology etc. and 2 years relevant automotive production experience Knowledge and SkillsExtensive experience with non-destructive structural testingKnowledge of sheet metal processing and data processingCertified Radiographic Interpreter preferredCertified Welding Inspector preferredPrevious spot-welding experience preferred We are all in for change.
