Job Description
The Body Shop Painter is responsible for preparing, painting, and refinishing vehicles to manufacturer and dealership quality standards. This position works closely with the collision repair team to ensure all painted surfaces match factory specifications while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting by sanding, masking, priming, and cleaning damaged areas.
- Mix and apply automotive paint, clear coats, and finishes using proper equipment and manufacturer specifications.
- Match paint colors accurately to ensure seamless repairs and high-quality finishes.
- Inspect completed paintwork for quality, correcting any imperfections before vehicle delivery.
- Maintain paint booth, spray equipment, and work area in accordance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with body technicians and estimators to ensure repairs are completed efficiently and on schedule.
- Follow all dealership, OSHA, and manufacturer safety procedures while handling paints, chemicals, and equipment.
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of automotive collision painting experience preferred.
- Knowledge of automotive paint systems, color matching, and refinishing techniques.
- Ability to operate paint booths, spray guns, sanding tools, and other refinishing equipment safely.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing, bending, and reaching throughout the workday.
Additional Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Ability to successfully complete pre-employment requirements, including background check, motor vehicle record (MVR) review, and drug screening.
Additional Information
Compensation:
- $23.00 to $24.00 per flat rate hour
Schedule:
- Full Time
- Monday through Saturday availability
- Sundays off
