We're looking for an experienced and motivated Back of House (BOH) Lead to join the Toastique team! The BOH Lead owns daily BOH operations with a focus on fast, consistent dishwashing, prep, and juicing. This role keeps the kitchen clean, organized, and running efficiently throughout each shift. The ideal candidate is a hands-on team player who can multitask, move with urgency, and takes pride in high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
Experience with large commercial juicers (GoodNature preferred) is a major plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Handle dishwashing duties with speed and consistency, ensuring all utensils, containers, and equipment are sanitized and ready for use.
- Lead and support daily prep and juicing tasks according to production lists and par levels.
- Maintain high food safety and cleanliness standards across all BOH areas, including sinks, prep tables, floors, and storage.
- Support team members with prep, juicing, dish, and cleaning duties to keep operations running smoothly during rushes.
- Receive and store deliveries using the FIFO (First-In, First-Out) method and keep storage areas organized.
- Monitor and maintain equipment, reporting any maintenance needs promptly.
- Communicate effectively with shift leads about inventory levels, prep needs, and supply shortages.
- Flex to support FOH as needed (running food, helping with expo, light guest interaction) to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Help monitor overall store cleanliness, including restrooms and customer areas, and jump in where needed.
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven BOH experience, including dishwashing, prep, and kitchen organization (2 5 years preferred).
- Strong teamwork, communication, multitasking, and time-management skills.
- Positive attitude with high attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Experience with commercial juicing equipment (GoodNature a big plus).
COMPENSATION
- $15-$17/hour, based on experience.
- Participation in the tip pool for additional earning potential.
