Job OverviewOperates maintains modifies troubleshoots and repairs steam boilers and hot water generators distribution systems components and accessories. Operates and maintains Liquid Petroleum Gas Vaporizers tanks and associated piping within the plants. Read meters and gauges and adjust controls to maintain proper operating conditions. Records data such as temperatures pressures hours of operation and analysis of flue gases. Perform lubrication of motors fan and accessories.Repairs and rebuilds boilers and associated equipment using portable power and hand tools when necessary. Calibrate boiler plant instrumentation and system controls using electronic mechanical chemical and electrical test equipment. Test and treat boiler feed water with specified chemicals. APTIM pays the costs for some fringe benefit plans for employees working on union projects.
