Job Title: Boiler Operator Location: Fostoria, OH 44830 Duration: 12 Months Contract Shift Notes: The position would be a swing shift 2 days 1st shift, 2 days 2nd shift, 2 days 3rd shift. 2 days off. 1st 7a to 3p 2nd 3p to 11p 3rd 11p to 7a 24 hours off when they move from 1st to 2nd, and 2nd to 3rd. Job Description: Position Summary:- Job duties include, but are not limited to: Operating the facility's boilers and water treatment systems, water treatment laboratory testing and monitoring, Boiler operation monitoring, accurate logging of data Equipment troubleshooting and basic maintenance Receiving/handling of fuel oil and water treatment chemicals Assist with performing annual boiler internal inspections and cleaning Monitoring facility cooling tower treatment program.
- General housekeeping duties and assisting with rail car movements if needed. Overtime or call ins may be required to cover vacations, absences or during plant shutdowns.
- Commitment to client's expectation of a zero injury safety culture, understand and follow company safety procedures
Minimum Experience Required :- Prefer 1st class A Engineering license but will consider a 1-B, 2-A or 2-B license.
- High school education or equivalent is preferred.
- Prior experience operating a forklift/payloader/skid steer is preferred.
- Must exhibit regular and prompt attendance and be able to meet physical requirements such as prolonged kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, working in a variety of conditions (heat, cold, dust), wearing a respirator, working in a confined space, working at heights and be able to properly lift 50 pounds unassisted.
- Ideal candidates will demonstrate initiative to work independently while being flexible to work as a team when needed and be an effective communicator.
- Applicant must possess good computer, mechanical and math skills.
- The induvial will need to possess either an Ohio High Pressure License, or an Ohio Stationary Steam Engineer License
