Bookkeeper Accountant

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper/Accountant to manage the financial operations for our business within the fast-paced food industry. The ideal candidate will ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, manage daily transactions, and provide critical financial insights to management. Supervise the work of 6 accounting employees.

Key Responsibilities

·       Daily Transaction Management: Accurately record all financial transactions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash receipts, and disbursements and collections.

·       Inventory  Track and reconcile inventory levels  on a regular basis.

·       Payroll Processing: Assist with accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

·       Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank, credit card, and vendor statement reconciliations.

·       Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate monthly reports to the CPA for the preparation of financial statements

·       Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation and filing of local, state, and federal tax .

·       Audit Preparation: Maintain an organized and meticulous filing system to facilitate easy preparation for annual reviews or audits.

Qualifications

·       Proven experience (2+ years) in a bookkeeping or accounting role, preferably within the  food service industry.

·       Proficiency with accounting software, Microsoft Excel and Word.

·       Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles

·       High level of accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail.

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·       Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
