Our client, a Flushing based Labor Union Fund Office is looking for a bookkeeper/administrative assistant. Ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience, labor/union experience a plus, and be extremely detail oriented. Sage experience is a MUST!
Position is fully on-site, remote options are not available.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
- Record daily deposits and entering daily invoices
- Balance and maintain general ledgers and trial balances
- Assist with year-end audit preparation and respond to auditor requests.
- Updating medical, prescription, dental eligibility and COB
- Oversee and maintain office supplies
- Answer participant inquiries related to benefits
Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office- Word, Excel, Outlook
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize projects
Compensation & Benefits:
Hourly Rate: $33/h-$35.75/h. Rate commensurate with experience.
