Our client, located in Arlington, seeks a dedicated Bookkeeper to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis. This role requires hands-on transactional accounting expertise, focusing heavily on accounts receivable with some accounts payable, sales tax, and payroll management. Proficiency with SAGE software is essential, while experience with Paychex is a plus.
Responsibilities
Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions
Process sales tax filings and ensure compliance
Handle payroll processing accurately and timely
Record financial transactions and maintain data integrity
Perform financial reconciliations to balance accounts
Enter data efficiently using accounting software
Utilize SAGE software for daily bookkeeping tasks
Required Qualifications
Experience with transactional accounting including heavy AR and some AP
Proficiency in SAGE accounting software
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Paychex payroll system
