Bookkeeper (Bilingual Mandarin/English)

A growing international consumer products and nutrition company is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support daily accounting operations at its Ontario, California headquarters. This organization works closely with domestic and international suppliers and serves a rapidly expanding customer base within the health, wellness, and consumer goods sector.
This opportunity is available on either a contract-to-hire or direct hire basis, making it an excellent fit for candidates seeking long-term stability or those interested in proving themselves through a contract engagement first.
The ideal candidate will have experience handling day-to-day bookkeeping functions, maintaining accurate financial records, supporting inventory-related transactions, and working within a fast-paced business environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Record daily financial transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking activity, revenue, and expenses
- Process vendor invoices and maintain accurate payment records
- Record customer payments and perform customer account reconciliations
- Perform bank, credit card, and general ledger account reconciliations
- Maintain inventory-related accounting records, including receipts, shipments, adjustments, and inventory transactions
- Assist with inventory reconciliations and ensure accounting records align with inventory balances
- Support month-end accounting activities and financial reporting
- Maintain fixed asset and prepaid expense records
- Organize and maintain accounting documentation and supporting records
- Assist with audits and provide supporting financial documentation when needed
- Ensure all bookkeeping activities are completed accurately, timely, and in compliance with company procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and bank reconciliations
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping processes
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
- Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience working with inventory accounting is highly preferred
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with internal teams
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality
Language Requirement
- Fluent in both Mandarin and English (written and verbal)
