About the Opportunity
A growing commercial property management company is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join its accounting team. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment where accuracy, organization, and strong bookkeeping skills are essential. Property management experience is a plus but not required.
Key Responsibilities
Perform full-cycle bookkeeping functions
Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities
Complete monthly bank reconciliations
Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
Assist with month-end and year-end accounting processes
Partner with the external accountant to support annual corporate financial statement preparation
Research and resolve accounting discrepancies
Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments
Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding balances as needed
Prepare financial reports and maintain organized records
Answer incoming phone calls and provide general office support when necessary
Assist with filing and other administrative duties
Qualifications
2+ years of bookkeeping experience required
Experience with full-cycle bookkeeping, AP/AR, and account reconciliations
Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a busy environment
Professional communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications
Property management, commercial real estate, or related industry experience
Experience working in a high-volume transaction environment
Familiarity with accounting software and financial reporting
