A growing and stable organization is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their team on a temp-to-hire basis. This role is fully onsite in Columbus, OH and offers the opportunity to contribute to a collaborative accounting team supporting a dynamic organization.
Responsibilities:
Perform daily banking activities, including monitoring and reconciling bank accounts and credit card transactions
Deposit checks using remote scanning tools and manage ACH verifications
Record accounts receivable transactions, including payments and other incoming funds
Bill monthly work orders and maintain accurate records across multiple systems
Process accounts payable, including vendor invoices, utilities, and data entry into accounting platforms
Assist with uploading payment and financial data into property management systems
Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and post journal entries to the general ledger
Record recurring entries such as depreciation, insurance expense, and other monthly adjustments
Support month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and schedules
Serve as backup support to other accounting team members as needed
Qualifications:
Associates or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
At least 3 years of bookkeeping or general accounting experience required
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (pivots and vlookups)
Experience with Yardi or a similar property management/accounting system preferred
Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Customer-service mindset with strong attention to detail
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Pay Details: $25.00 to $29.00 per hour
