This position is ideal for someone with strong experience in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel who thrives in an independent work environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth day-to-day accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain financial records using QuickBooks
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Reconcile bank statements and oversee ACH payments
- Administer and monitor positive pay procedures to safeguard against check fraud
- Prepare financial reports and create spreadsheets in Excel
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities
- Communicate with vendors and clients regarding invoices, payments, and account inquiries
- Ensure adherence to company policies and standard accounting practices
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in bookkeeping or a related accounting role
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of ACH transactions, positive pay systems, and general accounting principles
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
