Job Summary Kite's Cleaners, an award winning family owned business for over 60 years, is seeking a talented Bookkeeper to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the Owner and CPA to maintain accurate financial records and ensure the company’s compliance with all legal requirements. Your responsibilities will include recording and verifying transactions, bringing the books to the trial balance stage, and completing tax forms. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and has a strong understanding of best practices in accounting.
Responsibilities
Enter financial data and transactions
Verify the accuracy of transactions that have been entered
Prepare monthly P & L
Prepare weekly payroll through ADP
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
Complete required tax forms
Prepare employee health benefits and 401k
Learn the companies POS system
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
Previous experience as an accountant, bookkeeper, or similar position
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
Good with spreadsheets, experienced in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks Online, and basic accounting systems
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
