Bookkeeper

Kforce has a client in Manassas, VA that is seeking a Bookkeeper.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
• Maintain and reconcile bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts on a regular basis
• Process payroll and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements
• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain accurate financial records
• Produce monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
• Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting and forecasting
• Handle invoicing, collections, and vendor payments
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation
• Prepare documentation and support external accountants for tax filings and audits
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
• Identify process improvements and implement efficient accounting procedures
