About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to support the accounting operations of a privately owned real estate company with a portfolio of restaurant properties. The ideal candidate has hands-on bookkeeping experience within the restaurant industry and understands the unique accounting needs of restaurant operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping for multiple restaurant entities
- Record and reconcile bank, credit card, and other balance sheet accounts
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Maintain accurate general ledgers and supporting schedules
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
- Assist with month-end close and account reconciliations
- Track invoices, expenses, deposits, and other restaurant-related transactions
- Coordinate with restaurant operators and vendors to resolve accounting issues
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records across multiple entities
- Assist with ad hoc accounting and administrative projects
Qualifications
- 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Prior bookkeeping/accounting experience in the restaurant industry required
- Experience managing books for multiple entities preferred
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliations
- Proficiency with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- Strong Excel skills
