We are supporting our client on a search for a Bookkeeper who will own the day-to-day accounting for a friendly, growing company. This is a high-trust seat reporting to the Controller, with clear paths into senior accountant, staff accountant, or AP manager.

You will be in-office five days per week in Phoenix. We are open to experienced bookkeepers, accounting clerks ready for more ownership, and staff accountants who want a hands-on role at a smaller company.

Responsibilities

  • Own accounts payable and accounts receivable end to end
  • Process bills, invoices, and customer payments
  • Reconcile bank, credit card, and merchant accounts
  • Maintain the chart of accounts and post journal entries
  • Help close the books monthly
  • Support payroll processing with the People team
  • Prepare reports for the controller and CFO

Requirements

  • 2 plus years of bookkeeping, accounting, or finance ops experience
  • Comfort with QuickBooks Online, Xero, or NetSuite
  • Strong attention to detail and clean documentation habits
  • Comfort with spreadsheets and basic Excel formulas
  • In-office presence five days per week in Phoenix
  • Bachelors degree preferred but not required
