One of our clients in the Sparks Glencoe MD area is looking for a Bookkeeper. 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the company's day-to-day accounting operations.
  • Manage the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis.
  • Oversee Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R) functions to ensure timely and accurate processing.
  • Handle bank and credit card reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
  • Process payroll and related tax filings as required.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
  • Work with external CPAs or auditors for year-end reviews and tax filings.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records for audits and internal review.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
  • 3+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping or accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and GAAP principles.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop or Online) or similar accounting software.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
