Job Summary
Villa’s Construction & Remodeling Inc. is a luxury construction and remodeling company serving Boca Raton and Palm Beach County, specializing in high-end renovations, custom projects, and new construction.
We are seeking a Bookkeeper Specialist to manage the day-to-day financial and accounting functions of our construction projects. Responsibilities include processing invoices and payments, payroll preparation, account reconciliation, job-cost tracking, monitoring project expenses and budgets, maintaining accurate financial records, and preparing financial reports.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in bookkeeping or accounting. Construction industry and job-costing experience is strongly preferred. This position works closely with project managers and leadership to maintain accurate financial reporting and help keep projects within budget.
Full-time, in-person position.Responsibilities - Communicate with customers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure the accuracy of charges and payments in a professional manner
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, line wavers and developments
- Enter financial data and transactions
- Analyze budgets and other financial information
- Reconcile bank statements
- Prepare financial reports and statements
- Verify the accuracy of transactions that have been entered
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Create accounting policies to comply with all rules and regulations
- Process payroll
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
- Previous experience as an accountant, bookkeeper, or similar position
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Good with spreadsheets, experienced in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, BuilderTrend and basic accounting systems
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
- Bilingual is a plus
